“Discussion Session – Open for Public” Football Fan Culture, Mediatisation, and Identity in Indonesia: A Case Study of Persib Bandung Supporters While studies focusing on Indonesia often overlook football fan culture, this neglects the sport’s complex and politicized nature, a feature dating back to the colonial era. In recent years, media exposure has further complicated the landscape of Indonesian football. To delve deeper into this issue, Aulia Hadi, a graduate of the Center for Cultural Policy Research at the University of Glasgow, conducted research on the supporter community of Persib Bandung.
