(Moderator)
Current assessment policy emphasises the recognition of school diverse context and student varied abilities, and thereby, (re)emphasising the assessment for learning approach. As part of the change, national standardised tests, used to determine grade promotion and graduation eligibility at primary and secondary schools, have been eliminated. Instead, schools and teachers now have greater authority to conduct student assessments and determine student competency attainment. However, schools, particularly, the leaders, encounter several challenges in adopting this reform.
We are pleased to welcome a colleague PhD student from the University of Nottingham, who will share insights from his research on the national school assessment policy.
This a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas, ask questions, and learn together. Your perspective and participation will help enrich the discussion.
